Description

Day1: Depart Nairobi for Samburu game reserve:

On your way to Samburu, drive via Nanyuki town for Lunch, passing through very pleasant country-side with coffee and tea plantations with good view of the peaks of Mt. Kenya. Set up camp. Dinner and overnight at Campsite.

Day2: samburu:

Morning and afternoon game viewing in Samburu with lunch and leisure break at camp in the mid afternoon. During the leisure break you can visit a nearby lodge for swimming or visit the samburu people both at extra cost. Meals and overnight at campsite.

Day3: Samburu- Marsabit:

Early morning pre-breakfast game drive. After breakfast depart for Marsabit via the singing well of the Boran tribe which is quite colorful ceremony; as they also bring their livestock to water at the same time. Later lunch at camp site then spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight at Camp site.

Day4: Marsabit- Kalacha:

After breakfast proceed on a game drive in the nearby Marsabit National Park including a stop at “Lake Paradise” which is a natural water hole in this park which is essentially on Oasis. Drive on to Kalacha with picnic lunch en route. Dinner and overnight at the campsite in this tiny settlement at the edge of the Chalbi Desert.

Day5: Kalacha- Lake Turkana:

After breakfast depart Kalacha for Loiyangaini. The common term used for the south- eastern shore of L. Turkana. Cross the Chalbi Desert, also by passing North Horr. Lunch on arrival. Rest for the afternoon at leisure for a well-deserved rest having crossed Chalbi. Dinner and overnight at the campsite.

Day6: Lake Turkana:

A full day at the shores of Lake Turkana during which you can visit the El- Molo tribesmen in the village who are said to be the smallest tribe in Africa, at an extra cost. Rest for the day. Caution should be exercised near the lake as its waters are crocodile infested. All meals and overnight at Campsite.

Day7: Lake Turkana – Maralal:

After breakfast depart Loiyangaini for Maralal town, viewing picturesque and pristine desert land scape and scenery and the various Nomadic tribes that inhabit the northern part of Kenya grazing their livestock which includes camels. Lunch en roué. Dinner and overnight at Campsite.

Day8: Maralal- Nairobi via Thomson falls:

After breakfast, depart Maralal Town for Nairobi via Thomson falls with Lunch en route. Arrive in Nairobi early evening.
