Description
Day 1 Nairobi-Masai Mara National Reserve:
Pick up from your Nairobi Hotel at around 0800hrs and drive through The Great African Rift Valley and have a stopover at the view point for photo session then drive to Narok Town for lunch, afterwards proceed to Masai Mara, arrive in the afternoon and get settled at your safari camp. An evening game drive will follow to explore the famous game reserve famous for its variety of animals like lions, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes and other animals of the same order. The accent here is on the Masai people and the fabulous wealth of wildlife, birdlife, and natural flora to be found in the fabled Masai Mara Game Reserve. Dinner and overnight at Lenchada Tourist Camp/ Miti Mingi Camp.
Day 2: Full day in Masai Mara National Reserve:
A full day spent game viewing a cross the rich, tree studded grassland and rolling hills. The famous Mara is renowned for its great herds of plain game, black-manned lions, leopard and cheetah but also contains numerous elephant and virtually every type of wildlife to be found in Kenya. On this day there is an option of early morning Hot air Balloon safari then proceed with the normal program. An evening Masai village visit is also optional. Dinner and overnight at Lenchada tourist camp / Miti Mingi Camp.
Day 3: Masai Mara National Reserve-Nakuru:
Pre breakfast game drive, return to campsite for late breakfast and leave your camp for Lake Nakuru arriving in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Lanet Matfam Resort/ Hotel CityMax.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru-Amboseli National Park:
After breakfast, proceed for an extensive morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park to see the many animals that inhabit this unique park. Lake Nakuru is known for its millions of flamingoes and other water birds. Leave Lake Nakuru National Park and proceed to Amboseli National Park, with lunch en route. Dinner and overnight at Kimana Amboseli Tented Camp.
Day 5: Amboseli-Tsavo East National park:
Morning game drives then return to camp for breakfast. Depart for Tsavo East National Park. Picnic lunch then proceed for evening game drives. We visit the scenic Lugards Falls, Mudanda Rocks (attracts elephants in the drier season) and Aruba Dam as we view game if time permits. Dinner and overnight stay at Sentrim Tsavo Camp.
Day 6: Tsavo East National park:
Full day spent exploring the park. Morning and afternoon game drives are offered. Meals and overnight stay at Sentrim Tsavo Camp.
The landscape in Tsavo East is flat and drier than the west, despite having one of Kenya’s largest rivers flowing through the middle. Much of the wildlife is concentrated on the Galana River, which has plentiful crocs and hippos. Likewise, Kudus, waterbucks and dik-diks are common along the river banks.
Day 7: Tsavo East –Nairobi:
Early morning game drive. Soon after breakfast, we drive back to Nairobi with Lunch en route arriving at around 1500hrs. The safari ends with drop off at your Nairobi Hotel / Airport.
Program costs include:
