2 days Hell’s Gate National Park and Lake Nakuru National Park Tour

Day 1: Nairobi- Hell’s Gate National Park:

Hell’s Gate National Park is a tiny park located between Lake Naivasha, Longonot and Suswa volcanoes and it is an ideal venue for a weekend retreat far from the urban life of Nairobi. The park provides a variety of wildlife, unusual flora and many species of birds and is one of the only two Kenyan Parks where climbing, walking and biking are allowed. You will have a chance to walk in the most amazing gorges, including a visit to the devil’s bedroom.Animals seen here include Bushbucks, Dikdiks, Gazelles, Gnus, Hartebeests, Impalas, Klipspringers, Buffaloes, Hyraxes, Zebras, Hyenas, Jackals, Mongooses, Baboons, Monkeys and Porcupines amongst others. A game walk or bicycle ride amid gracefully wildlife is a delightful experience.

At 0700hrs our tour guide will pick you up from Nairobi City Centre or your residence and together you will drive to Fish Eagle Inn with stopover at viewpoints to marvel at the scenic Great Rift Valley escarpment. After Lunch drive to Hells gate national park. After this a mazing tour, drive back to Fish Eagle Inn for Dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Naivasha- Lake Nakuru National Park- Nairobi:

Lake Nakuru’s claim to fame is anchored on its flamingo’s and the over 400 species of birds found here. The lake itself is a soda lake on the floor of the Rift Valley. The sight of the at times millions of flamingos is quite spectacular. From a distance the lake appears ringed in pink. The Lake has also earned a reputation as an important haven for endangered species- particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the black and white rhino. Lions, waterbuck, buffalo and baboons are residents here as well.

Program:

After Breakfast at Fish eagle inn, drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. On arrival, you will start your game drives viewing black and white Rhinos, Zebra, Waterbucks, Leopards, Buffalo, brightly painted Rothschild Giraffes and many birds. At midday you reach Lake Nakuru Lodge from where you view animals passing just outside. Have lunch. At 1400hrs, make one more game drive to view lesser flamingos covering the Lake’s shores before heading back to Nairobi. Marking the end of your tour.
