Description

Day 1: Nairobi Excursion:

Program:

  • Pick up from the Airport at around 1000hrs. Drive to Giraffe Center: 1100 -1230hrs.
  • Lunch break: 1330-1420hrs.
  • KICC: 1430 -1630hrs then drop off at Nairobi Hotel.

Meal Plan: Lunch & 1Litre Mineral Water per person.

Giraffe Center:

This education center gives you an opportunity to get close and personal with Rothchild giraffes. The center provides what is felt as the very best place to begin or end your safari or if in a conference or transit, it’s worth coming close to wildlife from the bustle of the city where you feed giraffes with your own hands and have the closest touch. Other animals include the tortoise, warthog and parrot.

Kenyatta International Convention Centre. (KICC):

KICC is a 105-metre high, 28-storey building in the central business district of Nairobi. One of the most comprehensive views of Nairobi without barriers is from the rooftop of the KICC which also doubles up as the helipad. The helipad which is a circular structure with a pretty low guardrail around it, puts travelers right in the middle of the action by giving them a stunning 360-degree view of the city scape. The helipad is all the way up on the 28th floor. To get up there, one has to take the elevator to the 27th floor and then take several flights of stairs to the top. From up here, you can see the contrast between the different skyscrapers. You can also see the Nairobi National Park. In between the buildings and further out of town, in the surrounding suburbs, you get to see the greenery. It feels magical, a feeling that is perhaps intensified by the height that makes one feel somewhat detached from the activities down at the base.

Day 2: Nairobi Excursion:

Program:

  • Pick up from Nairobi Hotel drive to Museum: 09-1100hrs.
  • Lunch Break: 12-13hrs. Nairobi National Park: 14-1800hrs.
  • Drive back to Nairobi Hotel.

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch. 2litres mineral Water per person during the excursion.

Nairobi National Museum aims to interpret Kenya’s rich heritage and offers a one stop for visitors to sample the country’s rich heritage both for education and leisure.

In addition to the museum, visitors are treated to a variety of shopping and dining facilities, as well as botanical gardens that offer a serene environment. The museum is open on all 356 days throughout the year from 0830hrs -17300hrs. Built in 1929, this is the flagship museum for the National Museums of Kenya, housing celebrated collections of Kenya’s History, Nature, Culture and Contemporary Art.

Nairobi National Park:

A short drive out of Nairobi’s central business district is the Nairobi National Park. Wide open grass plains and backdrop of the city scrapers, scattered acacia bush play host to a wide variety of wildlife including the endangered black rhino, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, buffaloes, giraffes and diverse birdlife with over 400 species recorded. Visitors can enjoy the park’s picnic sites, three campsites and the walking trails for hikers.

At 0830hrs drive through The Great African Rift Valley and have a stopover at the view point for photo session then drive to Narok Town for lunch, afterwards proceed to Masai Mara, arrive in the afternoon and get settled at your safari camp/lodge. An evening game drive will follow to explore the famous game reserve famous for its variety of animals like lions, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes and other animals of the same order. The accent here is on the Masai people and the fabulous wealth of wildlife, birdlife, and natural flora to be found in the fabled Masai Mara Game Reserve. Day 4: Masai Mara Game Reserve Full Day:

Enjoy packed lunch inside the park surrounded by beautiful sceneries and wildlife.
