Weekend tour of Children’s Homes

Description

How about being kind on your day off? This is the plan, we will pick you up from your Hotel / residence at around 0900hrs then head to Mercy Hope children’s home. The children’s home is located at Githurai 45 along Thika super highway. Arrival at the children’s home at around 1000hrs greet the officials’ and familiarize with the institution before the kids break for lunch. The total number of children in the home is around 70. The Home accommodates children inhigh school and little ones who are yet to go to school.
At 1400hrs the day’s activities start by a welcoming speech from the manager and later the team will introduce themselves. After the introduction there will be activities such as dancing competition. Music will be courtesy of the Dj that has accompanied the team. The kids will be awarded for the best dancers’ prizes will include such things as books, pencils and textbooks.
Later the kids will be given a chance to showcase their talents also enlightening the kids about few things to do with cleanliness like washing their hands properly, brushing their teeth and taking a shower.The day ends at 1600hrs with a word of prayer and goodbyes to the kids. Later leave and drop off at your Hotel / residence.

• Toiletries and sanitary towels.
